..Somebody on the internet decides to pass off the very tiring and played-out Crysis Masterchief mod as leaked footage. Earlier this morning a fake video hit the internet, a video that I’ve yet to find.. Never-the-less, it’s fake. Embedded below is a video of the Crysis Masterchief mod in action enjoy.
30 new Halo: Reach images from the campaign have made their way onto the internet. XXLGaming seems to have the goods but their server is being hit pretty hard at the moment so you may have to wait until the dust settles before you can take a look. We’ll host the images here on HRI when we get a chance.
Update:
Nothing to see here but a slew of old images. You’re better off heading to the official Halo: Reach project page if you want to drool over something. Don’t forget to checkout the Render page, Urk just let us know that some sweet new renders are up!
It seems that GameInformer is not the only Game Mag that is getting a bit of Reach time. Edge also has 8 full length pages of Halo: Reach goodness to offer it’s readers. If you’re not an edge subscriber, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.
We cannot say with 100% certainty that this video is legit but sure looks that way. It contains footage of the Halo: Reach boot-up process and gives a glimpse of informative text about “murder mod”. Bungie has definitely taken some notes on the hugely successful Modern Warfare series.
As always, The latest issue of Game Informer, set to release in February has leaked. The leaked information tells us that Halo: Reach will NOT follow the book Halo: The Fall of Reach but instead venture down a more dark path. There is a bunch of good info, have a look.
Brier Dudley, a technology and business writer for The Seattle Times, writes an interesting post about Microsoft’s upcoming interactive, motion-sensing device code-named “Project Natal”. He reports that a British game magazine(MCVuk) recently wrote about a leak coming from British game developers who were briefed by the company.
Information given was that Microsoft will ship 5 million units in the month of November next year. Price is said to be between 50-80 USD. Launching along side Project Natal will be 14 Natal-enabled games. Brier speculates that Halo: Reach will be one of those games.
Someone over at the Bungie.net forums posted what appears to be concept art for Halo: Reach, or so he claims. While we can’t confirm the authenticity of them, they’re interesting nonetheless. Also, the original post has been edited by Bungie and no longer contains the links to said pictures.
Bungie isn’t too happy about the animation reel that got leaked recently. Will Christiansen, the employee who posted the clip on YouTube, not only removed the video but also his entire account. But it doesn’t stop there. A mod at the official Bungie forums posted this:
Anyone posting leaked material will be permanently banned from Bungie.net.

While you won’t find any links to the leaked animation reel on the Bungie forums, you can find it here.

Don A. Mattrick is the Senior Vice President of Interactive Entertainment Business, Entertainment and Devices Division. This Twitter account surfaced a couple of days ago. To some, simply the name was enough to take tweets as true and accurate but something seemed funny when only tweets giving away key information about various products and services were being sent out.
The tweet that HRI was interested in was, well, the one about Halo: Reach..
The Tweet would have confirmed that a shiny new engine would be used on Halo: Reach. Needless to say, this account is a fake. Microsoft’s people have contacted twitter and the account is likely to removed. Who’s to say that Halo: Reach won’t run on a new engine though?
