It seems as though the current build of Halo: Reach has a significant bug. This bug returns a dead player’s screen back to the respawn point, instead of allowing the player time to see if the enemy did any teabagging! Bungie wants to make a point in getting this awesome feature fixed before the Halo: Reach multiplayer beta..
“Title: Teabagging / humiliation moves impossible
Type: Bug

The respawn camera flies back to the spawn location immediately after dying, so your opponents can’t teabag / shoot / melee your body and have a possibility of you seeing it.”
In perhaps more interesting news, Bungie has promised to explain what exactly Headhunter and Invasion modes, teased in the most recent trailer, are in advance of the May 3 beta launch. Stay tuned for the latest.
Oh yea, a brand spank’n new video released by Bungie teases the upcoming Multiplayer Beta set for May. The video shows off a ton of multiplayer gameplay which includes never before seen weapons, perks and equipment like jump-jets as well as some awesome new movements. Check it out!
Today Markus teased, on the Halo Reach Dev Blog, that some juicy multiplayer info will be released in about a day. Some unnamed sources say that Urk has confirmed that the info has been held back to include a podcast with the announcement.
Keep your eyes peeled, and definitely check back here for an update when the announcement is made.
Bungie drops the first bombshell of what will probably be a series of bombshells released in the near future. The Halo: Reach Multiplayer Beta is dated for May 3rd 2010. One map is given out, PowerHouse. The assumption is that this map will be playable come May 3rd.
PowerHouse
“Utility and economy spurred industry amidst these isolated and unforgiving badlands, but like all infrastructure facilities on Reach, this hydroelectric site is under the purview of the UNSC war machine. All threats to the continued, predictable operation of humanity’s final line of defense must be met with swift and decisive force.”
Bungie also tells us that we can expect a brand spanking new VidDoc soon along with some new imagery. This all comes as a prequal to Microsoft’s X10 Expo Where Bungie plans to release this and more. If you haven’t picked up Halo 3: ODST, now is the time!
The Winter Pentathlon 2010 is upon us and bungie is giving us a preview of what will be going down. The gorgeous trophy to your left is also up for grabs but we all know that’s not why your reading this.. In a recent article, urk mentions a “Super Secret” game mode, and i quote: …
Once in a while someone will pitch something, new or old, in order to spark interest and conversation. sarcasticgamer’s Lono recently wrote up a little article speculating That Halo: Reach may have class-based multiplayer. This isn’t a new theory, in fact, most theories were all mentioned days after the Halo: Reach e3 Trailer was announced. You may recall my own theory that Halo: Reach may be squad-based. Squad-based gameplay and class-based gameplay are admittedly different but they fall into the same area on the multiplayer spectrum.
Lono writes: Is it all coming together in your head yet? Why is Halo Reach having a multiplayer beta? ODST didn’t have one. Why, because they’re using the same engine and gameplay in ODST. Reach will obviously have a new engine and a whole new style of multiplayer. What “style” do you ask? It’s simple …
Where would Bungie be without it’s fans? Where would any business be without it’s customers? This customer ..err fan has some pretty strong and thoroughly laid out ideas about what would make Halo: Reach the perfect game. A few are listed below, hit the jump at the bottom for the complete package!
The campaign needs to be longer than the Halo 3 campaign. 9 missions was way to short (for me). In order to make it an outstanding campaign I want to see the following things.
- A long campaign, with at least over ten missions.
- A good story. (don’t worry about this)
- Beautiful cinematics (like those from Halo Wars)
- Missions with enough variety. enough different ways to take.
- Skulls (more skulls with funny effects)
- Co-op (possible 5 players, since there are 5 spartans on the pic above)
- Metagame (hmm.. how to improve this??)
- Easter eggs (so it’s a real Bungie game:P)
- An impressive end (good bossfight? a vehicle run to the Pillar of Autumn?)
- Flyable dropships?
- Campaign forge
