Halo: Reach Quitters Will be Punished
Oh, yes. If you’ve played Halo 3, then you are well aware of these ‘ragequitters’, maybe you have even done it yourself at some point. A ‘ragequitter’ is someone who can’t take the heat, whether that be because of a pro player on the opposing team, his or her own weak playing ability or some trash talk he / she just can’t handle. Bungie is making it clear that quitters will think twice before abandoning their teammates and leaving them for dead. Jarrard tells X360A that there will be penalties for quitting out early, but those penalties have yet to be released.
This begs a question or two: Will quitters who make a habit out of it eventually be banned? Will they lose voice privileges or be kicked out of ranked matches? “We actually have new tools now to detect that and eventually, people who do this habitually will actually be penalized,” Jarrard said, “We want to be able to remove them from the population so they can’t make everyone else keep having a bad time.”
